A week without Jeans: Making the most of your wardrobe.

Yes, really!! You can go a week without wearing your trusty jeans. This week on the blog, I will show you how to, one, make the most of your wardrobe and two, break out of your style comfort zone.

So let's dive in and discover how amazing you can look and feel in something other than jeans.

First up on the list of "jeans alternatives", Printed or textured pants.

Being an ex-employee of Anthropologie, my mind always goes straight to this store for amazing pants. Now, Anthropologie isn't realistic for my budget so I either check out the sale section or I find something I love and look for a less expensive option elsewhere. I happen to be a fit snob so I will never sacrifice fit. If the more expensive option fits, I splurge.

What is most amazing about textured pants, especially in a neutral tone, these become a staple item in your wardrobe. You can pair them with a bright floral top (easy print mixing) or just a plain white tee and pop some color accessories. Super easy to style and gives you that instant style credibility.

The same goes for solid colored and printed bottoms. The colored pants will always look great with a printed top in the same color story. I especially love to do a printed button up and a vintage inspired heel. The printed pant is a little more adventurous but great if you are a white tee or tank kind of gal. These will give your favorite go to tops instant interest.

Second, find your skirt harmony.

Go try on different silhouettes! You need to find out what works best with your shape. If you are heavier on top or thick in the middle, please go try on a jersey knit pencil skirt! You will be amazed what this will do for your shape. Tackle those insecurities with proper undergarments that feel comfortable and pair this with a flowy top. Shop, here, our striped pencil skirt that is double lined, super amazingly comfortable and a great price point too!
Don't shy away from a great A-line style skirt either, these offer wonderful print options, bold colors and hides imperfections. They are also easy to move in and do everyday activities. Look for them in cotton or jersey. I am in love with this striped coral one we have in shop now. Its a great piece to dress up or down.

Third, show off those legs in shorts!

So... I am not a shorts person. The more I realize that my legs just need some self-tanner, and I do it, shorts become more appealing for these hot summer months ahead. My favorite, go-to place for shorts, J. Crew! Hands down, they have amazing fits and the shorts are tailored beautifully for a styled casual wear every woman dreams of. I got my favorite mint color shorts from the outlet store near by for only $27! Amazing considering I have worn them for over 3 seasons now and they are still my favorite.

Now take these ideas and look in your own closet first! See what works and get rid of what doesn't. I, for one, need more textured pants. I love them but never think to add some other varieties to my closet. And sadly, my colored pants had an incident with bleach so those are going and I'm adding something new to complete my aspirations of a week without jeans!

I hope this weeks blog will inspire you to see beyond the jeans! Become a style idol by doing something unique with your wardrobe. Visit us on Pinterest for more "Jean Free outfitting ideas".
